Aspermont Small Business Development Center, Inc. partners with Tatum's Meat Processing in Haskell, TX to operate the Hunters for the Hungry Program.

In the past, most venison donations would cost the donor the fee of processing the meat, but now Aspermont Small Business Development Center, Inc and Tatum's Meat Processing will pay processing fee through grants, donations and fund raising for deer donated during bow, muzzleloader and firearms seasons..

Food banks tell us that meat is their least available food item due to the high cost ($2-$5 per pound for beef) and that they gratefully accept venison donations.  Venison is a nutritious, low fat, high protein meat that can be an extremely valuable asset to any meal.

You can donate your deer to the program and have the venison end up on the tables of households in Stonewall, Haskell, Jones, Knox, Throckmorton and Kent Counties via the local food pantries.  All it takes is for you to field dress and take the legally tagged deer to Tatum's Meat Processing in Haskell, Texas for processing.  Please tell them it is for the Hunters for the Hungry program.

If you would like to donate to this program and you are not an active hunter, you can donate money for the processing to Aspermont Small Business Development Center, Inc.
